New Book Reviews Added

Dear visitors to The Hovercraft Society,
Over the last few weeks, I have added abstracts for three hovercraft books to the open library page Air Cushion History and Books.

The Three books are:

Beyond the Lagoon – Hoverdoctors to Papua New Guinea

The story of two River Rover hovercraft establishing a medical service in Papua New Guinea

Naked Feet of Nicaragua

The story of a Griffon 2000 making an expedition along the San Juan River, and establishing a community service in Southeast Nicaragua

British Light Hovercraft – The history and Development

A personal review by Bill Baker, one of the pioneers of light hovercraft in England.

All these books are available in the market and make enlightening reading.
The review presented gives just a flavour of the content.
Each in their own way presents a window on a piece of hovercraft history and the personalities involved!

If you click here, you will go to the open library page.
Below the header photo there is now a listing of all the books currently included.

We now have 19 books on this page.
C
lick on the titles and you will zoom down to the book.
To get back to the top, just click on the back arrow in your browser.

Just now I would highlight Bill Baker’s book.
This has taken him some time and much effort to assemble and self-publish.

I hope you enjoy the review material and encourage you to read the books themselves
