Hovercraft Experiences and Tours
There are a number of organisations worldwide that offer the possibility to drive a hovercraft as a one time experience, or to have driver training.
The HCGB organise ‘arrive and drive’ experiences at their race meetings to enable people to drive around a race course under instruction.
Fly Hovercraft in the USA offer drive training and experiences on their fleet of different craft.
In UK, Europe, and Australia there are several Adventure Centres that offer hovercraft as one of the sports visitors can experience, alongside many other sporting activities.

We include a short discussion about how design has evolved from the early experimental stage in the 1960’s and 70’s through to the present for Racing and recreational craft.

Regulations and Guidelines for design, construction and operation of Light Hovercraft have been published by the Maritime Coastguard Agency in Great Britain, The World Hovercraft Federation, The European Hovercraft Federation, the HCGB, HCC, and HCA.
This page gives a summary of the content in each of the guideline documents, with links to download or view the documents themselves. The are some documents such as those by teh HCGB that do require log on to their internets site as a member to allow download.
